Responsibilities

-Standalone in SCM
-Handle import/export and purchasing operations
-Manage delivery of goods, warehousing, and transportation
-Coordinate with vendors and provide appropriate instructions
-Manage purchase orders, prices, and delivery dates in collaboration with sales, Sales Assistant, and Order Processing at head office
-Process vouchers related to purchases
-Ensure timely data entry for incoming/outgoing shipments and maintain accurate warehouse inventory records
-Handle defective and returned goods from both overseas and domestic shipments
-Ensure proper delivery date management; take corrective action for delays or defects
-Establish and analyze processes to address delays or defective deliveries
-Analyze purchasing and logistics data (quantity, unit price, timing, costs)
-Oversee company-wide purchasing management; propose and implement improvements
-Develop inventory control rules; manage and revise them as needed
-Create inventory plans based on order information
-Implement actions to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure OTD (On Time Delivery)
-Prepare monthly inventory reports; identify write-offs, write-downs, shortages, slow-moving and backlog inventory, and report to management
-Manage the shipping process
-Consolidate and share relevant information with management and other departments
-Identify operational and process-related issues; drive improvements and efficiency

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in SCM, logistics, or relevant experience
– Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
– Business-level Japanese
– Business-level English
– Practical experience, knowledge and skills related to purchasing, importing, trading, shipping, and other operations
– Knowledge and skills related to inventory management
– IT knowledge and skills required to improve operational efficiency
