Responsibilities
1. Transportation Management
– Oversee the full transportation process, ensuring all necessary data is accurate and validated, such as freight details, route, carrier, and charges.
– Manage shipments, provide updates to stakeholders, and address any issues during transportation.
– Handle rate inquiries and negotiate with suppliers when needed.
– Ensure transport execution is on track, updating systems, resolving issues, and ensuring proper documentation.
– Monitor and verify transportation charges and settle any disputes related to costs and payments.
2. Customs Operations
– Manage import/export processes with brokers, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
– Coordinate with brokers to ensure correct classification and submission of required documents.
– Address any issues in customs clearance and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
3. Supplier Management
– Manage supplier follow-ups, ensuring continuous improvement and addressing any necessary feedback or escalations.
– Handle claims within set parameters, ensuring resolution in line with agreements and contractual terms.
– Monitor supplier performance and adjust orders as necessary.
4. Issue Resolution
– Support the resolution of any issues related to orders and shipments, focusing on customs and documentation concerns.
5. Claims Management
– Manage claims, both from customers and logistics providers, evaluating costs and ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
– Address any discrepancies and ensure claims are processed efficiently.
Qualifications
– Over 5 years of experience in import / export
– Dealing with custom borkers a plus, but not mandatory
– Experience working with global stakeholders in English environment
– Proficiency in business-level English
– Strong computer skills and major ERP usage (SAP, Oracle etc.) highly preferred
