Responsibilities
-Reports to overseas SCM Manager
-Manage 5 staff
-Develop reports to meet duty expectations
-Develop reports to meet duty expectations
-Set objectives for employee cross-training, lead safety program, drive continuous improvement; -Ensure succession planning for key reports.
-Oversee inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, and order processing
-Foster strategies to improve customer service
-Direct development of standards, metrics, processes, and practices aligned with company objectives

-Implement strategies, goals, and plans to enhance customer service.
-Establish and maintain clear communication with business contacts; build strong relationships with key vendors/suppliers
-Analyze and report data to identify opportunities for achieving objectives; advises management on logistics innovations to improve performance
-Achieve or exceed standards by improving cost and service performance through logistics activities, including inventory record accuracy, forecasting, deployment, and service levels
-Establish and maintain clear communication with business contacts; build strong relationships with key vendors/suppliers
-Analyze and report data to identify opportunities for achieving objectives; advises management on logistics innovations to improve performance
-Achieve or exceed standards by improving cost and service performance through logistics activities, including inventory record accuracy, forecasting, deployment, and service levels
Qualifications
-7+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or management
-People management and project management experience
-Bachelor’s degree
-Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-Business-level Japanese

-Experience in related functional areas, including Distribution, Production, Planning, Purchasing, and/or Quality is a plus!

-Strong tactical and strategic thinking abilities
-Experience in related functional areas, including Distribution, Production, Planning, Purchasing, and/or Quality is a plus!
