Responsibilities

The report line is to the APAC Director of SCM
Managing 5 staff total

– Oversee operations in Japan to ensure efficient and timely supply chain management.
– Provide leadership in the quality of the supply chain’s financial and commercial projects.
– Focus on team development, logistics, and customer service to improve daily operations and ensure long-term competitiveness.
– Participate in regional supply chain improvement activities to enhance global company outcomes.
– Standardize work processes for the supply chain in Japan and maintain adequate safety stock levels.
– Evaluate and enhance relationships with logistics partners and seek alternative solutions in the market.
– Ensure accurate delivery and invoicing, proper inventory accounting, and continuous improvement in supply chain procedures.
– Collaborate with the finance manager and APAC Supply Chain Director to take regular stock and drive local market KPIs.

Qualifications

– Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on innovation and change management.
– Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities with a sharp focus on business acumen.
– Extensive project leadership and line management experience, with a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration.
– Proficient in planning, organization, and stakeholder management with a customer-centric approach.
– Minimum 3 years of managerial experience
– Minimum 5 years of international supply chain experience, with a preference for SAP
– Familiarity with sales and operations planning, demand planning, and logistics operations.
– Proficiency in English, as well as advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
– Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment and a strong understanding of project budgeting.
