Responsibilities
-Reports to overseas Senior Manager
-2 staff in SCM team
-Assist and optimize supplier project management, quality, purchasing, procurement, and logistics processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
-Provide purchasing support, price negotiations, and other discussions with the suppliers
-Oversee quality planning, audits, and coordination
-Support procurement logistics, and planning with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
-Collaborate closely with internal upstream, sites, and service providers
-Manage new suppliers, analyze with internal departments, and lead contract negotiations
-Clarify various legal aspects in collaboration with internal and external contacts
-Identify savings opportunities and regularly report on procurement topics and KPIs
Qualifications
-5+ years of experience in project management, quality management, supply chain management, and purchasing activities
-Bachelor’s degree
-Business-level Japanese
-Business-level English
-Automotive industry experience is a plus!
-Experience collaborating with global teams to manage international quality and purchasing processes
-Proficient in MS Office
-Strong skills in quality and project management
-Communicative, open-minded personality
-Strong commitment to reliability, resilience, and flexibility
-Analytical and solution-oriented with a structured, methodical, and precise work style
