Responsibilities

– Report to head of SCM in the US and manage entire supply chain function for Japan and APAC
– Lead and supervise SCM team of 10 staff locally looking after Logistics, Procurement, and Planning
– Lead negotiations with suppliers and relationship management
– Work to achieve the target SCM metrics and drive cost saving.
– Manage inventory control and raw material planning
– Manage logistics partners and warehousing solutions
– Train and develop staff across Japan and overseas using English
– Any other assigned duties

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
– Fluent in spoken and written English and Japanese.
– At least 5 years managing purchasing, logistics and operation planning experiences. Some eternal/internal auditing experience is a plus.
– Experience of leading and managing a purchasing team and whole spectrum of purchasing work in a manufacturing company is highly preferred
– Experience with and of reporting in a foreign multinational manufacturing company will be valued.
– Good knowledge with track record on costing, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis in purchasing and logistics area of manufacturing company;
– ERP experience and Microsoft Office experience, preferably on Oracle and Excel.
