Responsibilities

– Responsible for setting the purchasing the strategy and procedures in accordance to the companies business plan
– Adjust and implement changes based on company corporate guidelines
– Forecast price and market trends to identify risks and opportunities
– Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
– Maintain and develop relationship with strategic suppliers
– Oversee and coordinate overall and day-to-day purchasing and sourcing operations
– Promote and encourage a result and customer oriented mind-set in the teams
– Follow up operational results and overall performance
– Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the same department
– Follow up on Improvement activities and goals in connection to the business objectives

Qualifications

– Higher education or equivalent work experience
– Relevant business knowledge and experience in a similar role
– 5 years of Experience of Sourcing and Purchasing or equivalent relevant experience
– Experience of cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and demand management
– Fluent in English and Japanese
