Responsibilities

– Reports to overseas Procurement Manager and local Operations Director
– Manage 4 staff
– Serve as a manager
– Lead Sourcing and Procurement team
– Responsible for sourcing and buying activities in both Indirect and Direct Procurement
– Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and contract development
– Collaborate with internal business partners to create and execute category strategies and lead sourcing engagements to meet business unit and company objectives.
– Manage, lead, and develop the team to achieve company goals, set individual goals, and enhance skill development.
– Select, evaluate, and manage suppliers to meet business objectives.
– Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
– Lead high-visibility and high-risk projects that impact the business.

Qualifications

– 10+ years of experience in Indirect and Direct Procurement
– Bachelor’s degree (Business management, supply chain, or a related field is a plus!)
– Business-level Japanese
– Business-level English
– Experience in contract and cost negotiations.
– Understanding of Professional Services Agreement business clauses.
– Experience in creating SOWs for Services Agreements, including services and contractors.
– Experience sourcing and contracting for Materials, Chemicals, Equipment, Facilities, Construction, Professional Services, and overseeing outsourced services.
– Proven ability to build relationships with cross-functional colleagues and executives.
– Strong strategic business process leadership, innovative and results-oriented.
– Skilled in sourcing, including identifying opportunities, performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategies, project management, contract management, supplier benchmarking, and contract compliance.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
– SAP experience is a plus!
– Oracle Supply Chain experience is a plus!
