Responsibilities
– Report to Planning Manager of Japan
– Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels within assigned product categories, aligning production and supply with demand forecasts to achieve set inventory targets.
– Oversee multiple local vendors in Japan, guiding them in creating, monitoring, and adjusting their production plans both in the short and long term. This is done in consideration of demand forecasts, production capacity, and the company’s financial constraints.
– Determine the required copacking quantities for assembly at the Japan warehouse based on the most recent demand plan. Work closely with the warehouse copacking team to ensure adequate resources and capacity. After issuing work orders, monitor the progress and arrange for any additional materials or products as necessary.
– Review inventory reports to identify slow-moving and obsolete stock. Collaborate with the Commercial Team to develop and implement action plans promptly to address any issues.
– Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations, proactively addressing any potential supply or demand issues.
– Be responsible for the KPIs of Customer Service Rate and Inventory Metrics.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
– Business English (intermediate proficiency) required
– Skills to use Microsoft Excel, intermediate skills in Access, Word, and PowerPoint
– Over 3 years of experience in supply chain roles (logistics and inventory management), with at least 2 years in inventory and supply planning
– Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
– Strong ability to analyze data and identify root causes, enabling appropriate actions to be taken.
– Business-minded attitude with a focus on problem-solving.
– Ability to effectively communicate and work with colleagues across different functional areas within the organization.
– Initiate and support changes to drive continuous improvement in operations.
