Responsibilities

-Reports to Country Manager and Head of SCM
-Roughly 12 staff in SCM team
-Ensure lean operations from raw material purchase to final product production and supply, including imported products from group companies.
-Implement performance objectives aligned with company strategy, cascaded to all team members (production, logistics, customer service, and purchasing).
-Foster collaboration with plant teams, head office, and cross-functional partners through inclusive leadership and decision-making.
-Lead operational activities to ensure regulatory compliance, risk management/prevention, and effective business continuity strategy.
-Provide direction, leadership, mentoring, and motivation to build and maintain a high-performing plant.
-Collaborate with support functions (finance, legal, human resources, sales, and marketing) to achieve business objectives and develop a strong, functional, and collaborative culture.
-Provide estimates for order completion, raw materials, supplies, maintenance, and equipment needs.
-Define and manage production and logistics KPIs, staffing requirements, and related issues for management decisions.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business Administration (preferred)
-5+ years of experience in production and/or supply chain facilities
-Business-level English
-Business-leve Japanese
-Experience with Profit & Loss (P&L), strong financial and analytical skills
-Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001
-Highly self-motivated and ambitious
-Pleasant personality
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
