Responsibilities

-Reports to the Procurement Director
-Manages 2-4 staff depending on candidate’s strength and evaluation
-Ensure a cost-effective and timely product importation and procurement supply chain
-Analyze, manage, and create procurement plans to maximize the company’s profits, including inventory and related costs
-Manage the entire process of ordering, reporting, importing, and addressing issues related to supply chain and product quality
-Oversee and manage the import process of various types of goods, considering different transportation methods
-Develop and execute proper import plans based on sales forecasts and inventory analysis
-Select appropriate transportation routes, methods, and suppliers, and negotiate terms with suppliers
-Perform cost calculations, including import costs, gross profit, and pricing strategies
-Share the status of imported goods internally
-Achieve monthly KPIs and prepare monthly reports
-Conduct physical inventory checks at the warehouse
-Manage and develop the team and operations to maximize departmental performance
-Oversee and improve system operations related to the above tasks

Qualifications

-5+ years of logistics, supply chain, or relevant experience
-Ability to understand and analyze company performance and data related to the assigned area
-Ability to propose and execute business strategies, problem identification, and action plans from a management perspective
-Advanced communication and negotiation skills in both Japanese and English
-Ability to adapt to and implement changes
-In-depth knowledge of the market, company products, and supply chain
-Knowledge of importation and customs procedures
-Strong problem-analysis and resolution skills
-Ability to propose and implement improvements in operational efficiency
-Ability to perform tasks accurately and on time
-Ability to actively share information and collaborate with partners and internal/external team members
-Skills in talent development and management
