Responsibilities

– Reports to SCM Director
– Roughly 2 staff in team
– Understand the SCM department’s policies, goals, and plans, and develop and execute the department’s own goals and action plans to achieve them.
– Be responsible for leading all demand planning activities, including forecasting and S&OP meetings.
– Minimize stockouts and excess inventory and take actions to optimize inventory days.
– Build smooth relationships with other department heads, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders, negotiating and coordinating to achieve goals and plans. Maintain a customer-centric and company-wide optimization perspective, adopting the best communication methods and approaches.
– Analyze various issues within the department, accurately assess the current situation, identify the causes, and formulate and execute appropriate solutions.
– Develop and maintain advanced skills and capabilities in the area of responsibility.
– Use personal knowledge and skills to guide and train both the department and other departments.
– Incorporate insights from sales, product, and services into the planning system, using both statistical and manual methods to analyze and create forecasts.
– Support the launch of new products and promotions through cross-departmental collaboration.
– Hold monthly S&OP meetings, considering demand trends and key assumptions to maximize sales and minimize risks.
– Drive the continuous improvement of the S&OP process performance and decision-making.

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in supply chain, demand/supply planning, or relevant experience
– Business-level Japanese
– Business-level English
– Proven track record of improving operational service levels and efficiency.
– Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects within timeline and budget constraints.
– Strong analytical skills and judgment.
– Experience in demand planning using systems is a plus!
– Strong numerical analysis skills, with the ability to make various proposals based on data.
