Responsibilities

Position: HR Director
Report: Regional HR Head overseas and Japan President
Team: Managing a team of direct reports in Japan

– Lead the HR team supporting commercial and technical teams
– Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
– Create and execute a strategic HR plan to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
– Drive organizational effectiveness through talent and culture initiatives.
– Act as a catalyst for change, guiding organizational design and development.
– Foster a high-performance culture and address performance issues promptly.
– Enhance organizational culture and engagement through targeted interventions.
– Manage talent pipelines and implement talent management processes.
– Focus on organizational design, leadership capabilities, hiring, and onboarding.
– Participate in projects to achieve departmental and company goals.

Qualifications

– Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced international business environment.
– Have a strong HR technical background with flexibility and agility.
– Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with 15+ years of HR experience.
– Demonstrate excellent business partnering, collaboration, and communication skills.
– Experience to lead and develop HR teams effectively in a matrix environment.
– Able to maintain a hands-on approach while keeping a strategic mindset.
– Able to be solution-oriented with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Able to influence and communicate complex information clearly.
– Experience in healthcare (life sciences, pharma, medical device, or related industries)
