Responsibilities

Position will manage the entire HR & GA function, work as a member of the management team in Japan, while reporting to a Global HR Director overseas and the Japan President. Position will also manage a small team of direct reports in Japan handling the hands-on administrative and operations duties.

Employee and Labor Relations
– Serve as the go-to person for company policies and procedures.
– Guide supervisors and managers on employee issues and grievances.
– Ensure compliance with labor laws and guidelines.
– Develop strategies for employee engagement and internal communications.
– Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll/HRIS

Manage and implement compensation and benefits plans.
– Maintain HRIS, payroll, and time/attendance systems.
– Ensure data integrity and alignment with business performance goals.

Organizational Development
– Oversee performance management and talent development processes.
– Coordinate career development plans based on performance reviews.

Staffing and Recruitment
– Manage the recruitment process from advertising to onboarding.
– Develop relationships with recruitment agencies.

General Affairs / Facility Management
– Building & Office Maintenance
– Safety & Risk Management
– Health & safety management

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– Ability to make and keep commitments in a fast-paced result-oriented environment.
– Strong Interpersonal skills with the intent of winning together with integrity.
– Excellent verbal and written communication in fluent Japanese and business level English
– 5+ Years of Experience in Human Resources Manager role
– Good labor law knowledge
– Knowledge of HR frameworks
– Good PC skills
