Responsibilities

– Lead the overall HR function and strategy for Japan and 1 other country in APAC
– Work as a business partner to the management team and oversee the HR operations of both countries
– Lead organizational development and talent management strategies
– Communicate with leaders and senior stakeholders to understand business needs and provide advice and support from HR
– Constantly introduce ways to streamline HR operations
– Lead the strategy to grow and develop the organization, through hiring, coaching, performance management, and other tools
– Plan and implement HR policies and initiatives
– Align with global HR strategy
– Ensure compliance with local regulations, communicate with internal and external advisors

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or higher
– 12+ years of relevant HR experience
– Native / fluent Japanese language skills and business level English
– Experience across wide areas of HR
– Experience in HR Management roles and/or HR BP roles
– Strong communication skills
– Good stakeholder management skills
– Hands-on ability (experience leading the entire HR function for small-mid size organizations a plus)
– Strong understanding of local labor law
