Responsibilities
– Coordinates budgeting and forecasting processes.
– Communicates expectations to budget owners and ensures accuracy.
– Challenges and supports budget owners to optimize financial outcomes.
– Provides variance analysis and commentary to senior finance leaders.
– Acts as a finance partner for the front office / business development team.
– Understands customer trade terms, budgets, and profitability.
– Conducts trade term simulations and ROI calculations.
– Aligns POS/VISIT placement plans with budgets.
– Ensures compliance with Group Controlling guidelines.
– Distributes financial data (plan & actual) to budget holders through reports, system access, and meetings.
– Improves reporting efficiency to allow more time for analysis and insights.
– Supports bottom-up planning and ensures proper review cycles.
– Evaluates cost/benefit of commercial activities.
– Builds strong relationships with budget holders based on trust.
– Shares relevant financial knowledge and insights.
– Manages the monthly accrual process.
– Ensures accurate master data and consistency in financial structures.
– Provides timely variance analysis and commentary to senior finance leaders.
– Analyzes sales performance (MTD, YTD, FY) and provides insights.
– Prepares year-to-go estimates and highlights risks and opportunities.
– Presents financial performance to senior leaders with recommendations.
– Manages financial reports using BI and Hyperion tools.
– Supports training and maintenance of financial tools.
– Provides customer performance reports to budget owners.
Qualifications
– 5+ years in commercial finance
– Strong finance and accounting knowledge
– B to C experience preferred, but not mandatory
– Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to handle multiple priorities
– High attention to detail and hands-on approach
– Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and business analysis tools experience (SAP BI, Hyperion, HFM)
