Responsibilities

Reports to: Finance Manager (Japan head of finance)

Financial Analysis Responsibilities:

– Provide finance analysis and strategic input to senior management and other managers.
– Analyze sales, gross margin, SG&A, inventory status, and various financial KPIs.
– Monitor topline, major cost items, product profitability, detect risks and opportunities.

Budgeting & Forecasting Responsibilities:

– Support and coordinate annual business planning and create financial projections.
– Lead budgeting for the Japan entity’s P/L, including sales, COGS, and SG&A.
– Support subsidiaries’ budgeting and B/S items like inventory.
– Track annual budget progress and monthly updates.

Business Updates Responsibilities:

– Support Monthly Business Review preparation.
– Prepare meeting materials, including sales, P/Ls, expenses analysis, and year-to-go forecast.

Qualifications

– At least 5 years’ experience in Finance/Supply Chain Finance
– Strong skills in data analysis and presentation (MS Excel, PPT)
– Strong leadership and people management experience
– Business-level English and native-level Japanese writing/reading skills (email & reporting), occasional listening/speaking
– Desire to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
– University degree required
