Responsibilities

– Reporting to head of finance, provide guidance to the FP&A team (possible to manage one to two staff from the start, depending on experience)
– Own the budgeting process and perform financial analysis, develop annual and budget mid-term
– Insights regarding sales including analysis of actuals against budget / forecast and prior year
– Coordination with head of finance to provide reports requested to support company strategic decisions
– Prepare monthly brand P&L with useful revenue and cost analysis, operating profit and ensure the records provide accurate and timely information. Organize meeting with directors to provide feedback and achieve targets
– Lead and influence cross functional projects as appropriate
– Provide quarterly Actual vs Budget analysis with details to department heads

Qualifications

– Undergraduate degree, preferably in relevant area (business, finance, accounting etc.)
– 5+ or more years experiences in FP&A Department
– Understanding of accounting procedures and accounting standards.
– Advanced computer software skills, including MS office and other accounting packages
– Business level in English and native in Japanese
– Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA or similar qualification
