Responsibilities

– Work in 5 staff in A/F team (head of finance, 1 FP&A, Finance Manager, two accountants) using customized ERP system
– Position will report to Japan head of finance (excellent experience with world famous 外資系 companies, should be great boss!) and coordinate with overseas stake holders
– Handle accounting first, then take on FP&A responsibilities to eventually become a candidate for replacement for CFO

– Ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting to support the Japan CFO and team
– Develop metrics, track performance, and create action plans to improve business outcomes
– Analyze channel profitability and maximize investment impact
– Support budget planning and provide accurate forecasts
– Oversee monthly/yearly closings and manage AP, AR, fixed assets, loans, and taxes
– Maintain internal controls and manage audit activities
– Ensure compliance across accounts and reporting systems
– Streamline finance, accounting, and legal workflows
– Supervise and mentor two subordinates, strengthening the Finance team
– Communicate financial updates clearly through reports and presentations

Qualifications

– 5+ years of finance experience, including FP&A work, preferably in B to C and foreign companies.
– Strong analytical skills with clear communication of status, assumptions, and recommendations to stakeholders
– Knowledge and experience in accounting (CPA or related certification preferred, but not required)
– Business-level English proficiency for conversations, emails, and proposals
– Experience with ERP system upgrades a plus!
