Responsibilities
Reporting to: Japan Managing Director and Finance at Headquarters in Europe
Team Management: Look after a large size team handling all areas of the back office
Finance and back office responsibilities
– Main point of contact for financial matters with headquarters
– Effectively manage the Finance team and step in when needed
– Handle audits, monthly/annual closings, and financial statements
– Manage tax declarations, inspections, and work with tax advisors
– Oversee financial aspects of imports, intercompany relations, and banking
– Ensure cash collection, budget planning, and financial reporting
– Maintain asset security and manage accounts payable/receivable
– Oversee hiring and support leadership in legal matters
– Assist with company and customer-related legal affairs
– Ensure strong market performance through effective logistics
– Maintain optimal stock levels and oversee warehouse operations
– Secure inventory assets and monitor financial impact
– Define HR strategy and maintain a positive company culture
– Manage recruitment, staff development, and retirement processes
– Oversee IT support with external providers, ensuring smooth operations
– Lead the transition to SAP in coordination with headquarters
– Drive change management and continuous development
– Understand business impact and contribute to growth
– Lead by example with a solution-oriented mindset
– Foster teamwork between finance and sales
– SAP experience is a plus
– Balance sales and financial stability for success
Qualifications
– Fluent in English, no issues to communicate with overseas stakeholders
– Degree in business, international management, or related fields
– At least 15 years of experience in a multinational subsidiary
– Strong financial leadership experience
– Ability to build positive relationships across teams
– Lead by example and inspire others
– Work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
– Willingness to travel internationally for training and business needs
Welcome
– ERP implementation experience a plus, but not mandatory
– Management of entire back office (HR, GA, Logistics etc.)
