Responsibilities

– Responsible for all monthly, quarterly, annual closing and financial reporting to Corporate
– Leading and managing daily accounting operations
– Responsible for transfer pricing calculations
– Lead, manage, mentor and develop the Finance Team
– Provide technical financial advice and guidance to all the business functions within Japan.
– Build strong working relationships and be an invaluable partner to the General Manager, Sales and Customer Service teams
– Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and US GAAP/SOX compliance.
– Responsible for the overall internal control environment.
– Responsible for overall cash management across Japan, including cash flow actuals report, forecasting and liaising with Corporate Treasury to oversee the company’s banking and borrowing arrangements
– Driving process improvement and efficiency / productivity initiatives
– Any other ad hoc projects or initiatives that may be required.

Qualifications

– 10+ years of financial operational management experience in Japan
– Proven technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of USGAAP and SOX
– Demonstrated business partnering experience
– Experience in system migration/implementation is a plus
– Strong problem solving and analytical skills
– Business level of English (writing and speaking)
