Responsibilities

Position will manage 2 – 3 staff and report to US HQ

– Manage entire P/L for organization and take ownership of entire finance function
– Work with the Japan Country Manager and serve as true financial business partner
– Ensure month-end close per JGAAP and US GAAP rules
– Independently handle month and year-end close
– Organize annual tax filings and maintain financial and management reports
– Oversee annual budget and quarterly forecasts
– Analyze business for profit maximization
– Help with customer financing solutions and leasing
– Improve efficiency in the Finance Department
– Ensure compliance with company controls
– Coach and develop the Finance Team daily
– Participate in special projects and analyses per senior management requirements

Qualifications

– 5-10 years of experience in finance, B to C or trading company
– Strong coaching and staff management experience
– Preferably has a degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
– Proficient in English for communication with US headquarters
– Experienced in planning and controls, strong with Financ Business partnering
– Proven management and leadership skills
– Experience in cross-functional environments
– Proficient in MS Office suite
