Responsibilities

– Provide Financial Support: Help Japan’s leadership with financial matters such as profit and loss, sales and operations planning, and investment decisions.
– Collaborate on Financial Analysis: Work with Japan’s leadership to develop, analyze, and summarize financial results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
– Facilitate Financial Forecasting: Assist in creating a one-to-three-year financial forecast and monthly/quarterly outlook for revenue and investments with regional teams.
– Support Sales and Marketing: Provide financial analysis and inputs to help Japan’s sales and marketing team drive revenue, improve pricing, and develop market initiatives.
– Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Focus on short and long-term financial planning and analysis to measure and forecast future business performance. This includes analyzing internal financial information and external economic conditions, as well as financial modeling to predict potential impacts.
– Finance Business Partnering: Advise and support Japan in financial matters, offering finance consulting and coaching, providing forward-looking insights on market conditions and competitors, and improving the quality of financial data for decision-making.

Qualifications

– Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance.
– Experience: At least 5 years of experience in finance or business analysis.
– Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting concepts (GAAP and/or IFRS).
– Language Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
– Work Background: Experience working in a foreign-based company, preferably one headquartered in the U.S.
