Responsibilities

– As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Finance Sr Manager/Director will report to CEO Japan. This position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning,implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.
– This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, cost management, financial analysis, being finance partner with all functional heads and compliance and institutional financing.
– Position will be managing Accounting / Business Planning and IT functions.
– Lead the development and evaluation of both short-term and long-term financial goals.
– Ensure the Finance team’s credibility by providing accurate and timely budget analysis, financial trends, and forecasts.
– Build strong relationships with senior executives to understand their needs and offer comprehensive business solutions.
– Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting processes for the company.
– Recommend strategies to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
– Report on monthly financials and prepare supplemental reports for headquarters.
– Handle the year-end close process and prepare the consolidation package.
– Prepare the investment plan and manage capital expenditure.
– Oversee external audits and income tax filings, including transfer pricing issues.
– Manage the accounting system and ensure it integrates properly with the retail system.
– Manage cash flow using bank loans and create future cash flow projections.

Qualifications

– BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred
– 10+ years in financial leadership roles, preferably in retail
– Fluent in English, both spoken and written
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage staff at all levels and remote locations
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with timely analysis
– High integrity, dependability, urgency, and results-oriented
– Experience in managing IT functions is a plus
