Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting (will implement SAP in the future)
– Ensures accurate accounting (including appropriate accruals/deferrals) so financial statements present a true view of the financial position, financial performance and cash flows of the reported period
– Handles fixed assets and supervises asset accounting ledger
– Accounts payables and compliance with the rules and principles of the internal control system
– Responsible for monthly and annual closings including closing with organizational timetable
– Depreciation runs, posts accrual / deferral entries and revaluations, write offs and provisions.
– Reconciles all clearing and company accounts
– Ensures compliance with all relevant local legislation (e.g.: statutory accounting, tax law, transfer pricingettc) and internal group accounting guidelines
– While maintaining quality, continuously drives efficiency by streamlining processes
– Support of projects (e.g. SAP FI projects, implementation/updates of Accounting tools)

Qualifications

– Accouinting qualification (Boki 1st grade, USCPA etc) highly preferred
– Minimum 5 years experience working in multinational environment
– Strong knowledge in Japan Tax legislation, local GAAP and IFRS
– Mandatory SAP (FI, CO, COPA and BI) and ideally HFM user knowledge
– Fluent English communication on speaking, writing and listening
– Self-motivated and flexible, be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
