Responsibilities

Reporting Lines – Japan head of finance (Japanese male), position may coordinate with APAC office

Financial Management
– Oversee all finance functions (closing, Treasury, AP, AR, payroll, tax).
– Lead the finance team in Japan (two staff)
– Perform complex bookkeeping.
– Coordinate with external auditors and consultants.

Compliance and Reporting
– Prepare annual tax returns with tax partners.
– Ensure compliance with all taxes.
– Manage capital expenditure and IFRS compliance.
– Maintain compliant bookkeeping practices.

Qualifications

– Certified Accountant (CA/CPA) or equivalent experience with a Finance degree.
– English TOEIC score of 700+.
– 5+ years of work experience.
– Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards.
– Familiarity with Finance ERPs (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP).
– Able to make sound decisions in uncertain situations.
– Strong communication skills across all levels.
