Responsibilities
– Responsible for the accounts receivable function including the receipting of customer payments and performing debt recovery.
– Responsible for the various inventory accounting, reconciliation, and reporting processes including physical inventory.
– Assist the accounts payable function.
– Assist and support the inter-company accounting function.
– Assist with the facilitation and completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly close procedures, including assisting with group reporting requirements.
– Maintaining, monitoring and reporting of fixed assets.
– Maintain bank accounts, mainly in supplier set-up and daily bank reconciliation.
– Prepare cash flow forecasts.
– Preparation of all payroll and related accounting and reconciliation processes.
– Prepare monthly accounts analysis and balance sheet reconciliation and report the variances.
– Assist in the processing and reconciliation of financial statements including VAT/Income tax returns and audits according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
– Ensure compliance with USGAAP, internal accounting policies, regulations, and systems of internal control.
– Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes.
– Assist with the preparation for internal audits.
– Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded using ERP.
– Assist and support the Finance Team in special projects when needed.
Qualifications
– 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
– Working knowledge of US GAAP
– Ability to analyze accounts variances and summarize underlying drivers.
– Experienced and skilled in reconciliations
– Business level Japanese, and Intermediate level English
– Proficient in MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
– Working knowledge of using any ERP system or reporting tools
