Responsibilities

Assist the Finance Manager with monthly and yearly financial closing processes, while overseeing and organizing the efforts of accounting clerks handling accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and general accounting tasks. Ensure the accurate and timely execution of diverse accounting functions. Provide leadership and expertise in technical IFRS accounting, ensuring correct interpretation and adherence to both IFRS standards and local accounting regulations.

Qualifications

– Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure critical tasks have adequate backup.
-Supervise Accounts Payable (A/P), trade payables, and commissions payable processes, manage workflows, allocate resources, and oversee the work of Accountants.
-Track and manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) and the collection cycle to ensure timely payments.
-Contribute to the preparation of various monthly reports, including reconciliations, adjustments, and resolution of discrepancies.
-Assist with ad hoc projects from the Director to ensure the Finance Team complies with current standards and is ready for future updates.
-Foster a high-performing and motivated team in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
-Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with other teams across the organization.
-Provide accounting support to e-commerce and B2B operations.
-Address and resolve escalated issues efficiently.
-Enhance the customer experience by driving innovation and improving departmental processes.
-Encourage a culture of learning through team development and personal professional growth.
-Gain expertise in systems such as ERP, POS, and BI tools to ensure accurate bookings and recognition.
-Collaborate with HQ to maintain data across various systems.
-Manage interactions with Accounting firms and provide them with necessary Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) data for the preparation of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets (BS).
-Assess current and historical trends in key performance indicators across revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
